The much-awaited Police Complaints Authority (PCA) has started functioning in the national capital, a press release by Delhi government said.
The press release (see below) said that it will operate from the address 2nd Floor, M-Block, Vikas Bhawan, IP Estate, New Delhi-110110.
The Delhi government said that PCA have started working under the chairmanship of Justice P S Teji (retd) followed by Nutan Guha Biswas, IAS (retd), P Kamraj, IPS (retd) and Tinu Bajwa, Advocate as members.
“The public at large may file the complaint directly on the address… or through e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org/on website pca.delhigovt.nic.in,” the press release said.
It is pertinent to note that PCA was constituted by the Lt Governor Anil Baijal to examine into grievances and accusations against Delhi Police personnel on matters of custodial death, custodial rape, blackmailing or any serious abuse of power.
