In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has repatriated Rina Ray, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Department to her parent cadre with immediate effect.

A circular (see below) issued by ACC said that Amit Khare, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting will hold the post left vacant by Ray till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ray is a 1984 batch IAS Officer of the UT cadre. She was appointed to the post in Aug 2018. The reason for her sudden deputation has not been furnished.

The order was issued by P K Tripathi, Secretary, ACC and Establishment Officer.
