The massive Rs 5,400 scam, in which Maharashtra businessman Ratnakar Gutte, promoter of Gangakhed Sugar and Energy Limited, had taken loans in the names of farmers and invested in his shell companies, has now hit the film “Accidental Prime Minister”, where Anupam Kher plays former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The director of the film is Vijay Gutte, who is the son of Ratnakar. That is not the only source of trouble for the film. It has been said that the film’s producer, Sunil Bohra, known to share close proximity with superstar Aamir Khan, is also under scrutiny. While the Bombay High Court recently ordered a probe into the allegations regarding Gutte, India Legal learns that now Sunil Bohra’s company Bohra Bros has been ordered to be liquidated.

India Legal is in receipt of copy of the Bombay High Court order dated 12.04.2018 passed by Justice Shriram in Company Petition No. 663 of 2015 (Jia Entertainment Networks Private Limited vs Bohra Bros Production Private Limited). The matter is with the High court in a petition filed by Jia Entertainment Network Pvt Ltd that Bohra Bros be wound up on the grounds that the company was unable to pay its debts and is commercially insolvent, hence required to be wound up immediately.

This also puts in doubt the film Trishna which the petitioner and Bohra entered to into 2012 with Rs 4 crores.

Al cheques by Bohra to Jia Entertainment bounced and the matter was brought to court.

Accidental Prime Minister was recently shot in London and was scheduled to release onDecember 21.

Incidentally, Sunil Bohra was in the news during hit film Tanu Weds Manu where the court had directed the police to file an FIR against him for fraud with the original maker Vinod Bachchan and the matter was sorted out after Bohra paid up.
