Allahabad High Court directs SP Jaunpur to ensure impartial probe into theft of cash, jewellery

Grievance is that the investigation of the case crime is not being fairly conducted by the police authorities and that the FIR itself has been lodged on October 29, 2021.

The Allahabad High Court has asked a petitioner to file his complaint with the SP Jaunpur for fair investigation in accordance with the law in a case of theft of cash and jewellery worth lakhs and directed the SP to examine the matter and issue necessary directions to ensure a fair investigation is conducted expeditiously.

The Division Bench of Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra and Justice Ajai Tyagi passed this order while hearing  a Criminal Misc Writ Petition filed by Krishna Chandra Yadav.

The petition has been filed with the prayer to direct police authorities to conclude the investigation of Case under Section 380 IPC, Police Station Line Bazar, District Jaunpur in a fair and impartial manner.

Grievance is that the investigation of the case crime is not being fairly conducted by police authorities and that the FIR itself has been lodged on October 29, 2021.

Additional Government Advocate pointed out that some of the accused persons have also approached the Court and that the investigating authority is probing the matter as per law.

“In the facts and circumstances, we permit the petitioner to raise his grievance before third respondent (SP Jaunpur), who shall examine the matter and issue necessary directions so as to ensure that a fair investigation is conducted in the case as per law, expeditiously,”

-the court said while disposing of the petition.
