Defamation case: Delhi court directs Delhi CM Kejriwal, other AAP leaders to appear before it on June 7

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court on Tuesday directed AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Sushil Kumar Gupta and Atishi to appear before it on June 7 in  a defamation case filed against them by Delhi BJP leader Rajiv Babbar.

The court had earlier directed leaders to appear before it on today’s hearing. The court exempted them today after their counsel informed that they were not available as they were busy in political events in Delhi and Haryana.

The court was acting on the petition seeking trial against Kejriwal and other leaders for tarnishing the image of BJP by criticizing the party for the deletion of names of voters from the electoral list in Delhi.
