Delhi HC orders JNU to give admissions to successful candidates belonging to disabled category in MPhil, PhD courses

The Delhi High Court on Friday (July 27) ordered the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to give admissions in MPhil and PhD courses to the successful candidates belonging to Persons with Disability (PWD) category while further directing the Central University to display the entire results on its website.

The order was given by the bench of comprising Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar.

In the last hearing, the bench had directed JNU to release the results of the candidates except for candidates who fall under PWD category for admissions in MPhil and PhD courses while continuing the interim order barring the results of PWD candidates for the same courses.

During the course of proceedings, the counsel for JNU informed the bench that they have declared the final results of MPhil/PhD courses in the category of PWD candidates.
