The Special CBI Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar at Rouse Avenue Courts Complex has ordered Judicial Custody of Former Union Minister P Chidambaram till 13th November 2019 in the INX Media corruption case.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had prayed for another day’s extension of ED custody which the court refused. ED custody was last extended till today, following which the court refused prayer for extension of ED custody, stating the investigating agencies have had enough time for interrogation.

The CBI had arrested the 74-yr old on 21st August. After a fortnight of CBI custoday, the court sent him to judicial custody. He was granted bail by the Supreme Court in CBI case.

On 16th October, Enforcement Directorate arrested him and had him in ED custody till today. His regular bail and today’s interim bail (till 4th Nov, on health grounds) applications are pending in the Delhi High Court.
