The Jharkhand High Court on Friday (August 24) quashed the provisional bail of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and asked him to surrender by August 30.

On August 10, the court had extended the provisional bail till August 20. Yadav was granted six weeks provisional bail for treatment in May which was later extended by the court.

Yadav was lodged in Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Central Jail after being convicted in December 2017 in a fodder scam case.

Meanwhile, Enforcement Directorate also filed its first chargesheet against Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi and others in connection with the IRCTC hotels allotment money laundering case.
