The Jharkhand High Court on Friday deferred the hearing in former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s bail plea after the CBI sought time from the court.
Upon this, the Jharkhand High Court directed the CBI to file a reply before February 5, the date for the next hearing.
The single-judge bench of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh heard the bail plea of Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Dumka treasury case. Lalu Prasad’s lawyer Devarshi Mandal said he has got bail in three other cases.
During his sentence in the fodder scam case, Lalu Prasad Yadav was admitted to RIMS Hospital in Ranchi due to health conditions. He was shifted to AIIMS New Delhi after his condition worsened last week.
