The Delhi High Court bench of Justices S Ravindra Bhat and A K Chawla declined to grant interim relief to Rahul Gandhi, Congress President, on his petition seeking directions against the IT Department decision to reopen the tax assessment of 2011-2012 with regard to transactions of Young Indian and Associated Journals Ltd which publishes National Herald newspaper.
Senior Advocate Arvind P Datar appeared for Rahul Gandhi and ASG Tushar Mehta represented the IT Department.
The matter will be next heard on August 14, 2018.
