Victim threatened by alleged rapist, wants security and case transferred to Delhi

New Delhi: The victim in the rape case against Pranav Pandya, the Gayatri Mission Kunj chief, has appealed to the Supreme Court for a transfer of the case from Uttarakhand to Delhi.

The victim has also sought police protection, saying that henchmen of the alleged rapist have been threatening her and her widowed mother since she filed an FIR with the police. Pandya’s men want her to take back the case, she has alleged in her petition to the top court.

The petition has been filed by the victim through advocate AP Singh. The petition says that pursuant to a complaint against Pranav Pandya and his wife, an FIR was lodged in Uttarakhand on May 9 2020. The plea says that the police have taken no action on the FIR so far.
