The CBI on Tuesday (April 9) filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court opposing the bail of Lalu Prasad Yadav on medical grounds in Fodder scam cases.

The apex investigating agency said in the affidavit that Lalu is conducting political activities from the jail. The agency further added that Lalu spends most of his time in a special ward where he meets scores of politicians everyday.

Seeking dismissal of bail plea, the CBI said that on the pretext of medical grounds, Lalu wants to continue political activities in the wake of upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
