The judgment in the Ayodhya land title dispute case will be pronounced on Saturday at 10.30 am, the SC registry said.
“Take notice that the matter above mentioned will be listed tomorrow i.e. 9.11.2019 (Saturday) at 10.30 a.m. for pronouncement of judgment in Chief Justice’s court before the bench comprising Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble S.A. Bobde, Hon’ble Dr. D.Y. Chandrachud, Hon’ble Ashok Bhushan and Hon’ble S. Abdul Nazeer, JJ,” the notification (read below) said.
The Ayodhya verdict which is eagerly awaited comes in the wake of CJI Ranjan Gogoi holding a confidential meeting today with the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) to review the law and order scenario.
The agencies reported that three judges from the five-member Ayodhya bench – Chief Justice Gogoi, Chief Justice-designate S A Bobde and Justice Ashok Bhushan also attended the meeting.
It is pertinent to note that security has been beefed up in Ayodhya and other places ahead of verdict with several security agencies issuing advisories to prevent any untoward incident and allocate enough security persons in all volatile places and guarantee that no unfortunate event takes place the country.
The Railway Protection Force on Thursday issued a seven-page advisory to all its regions, asking them to stay vigilant while terminating the leave of its staff.
Similarly, Union Ministry of Home Affairs also sent an advisory to all states to remain alert.
The hearing in the 70-year-old land dispute was concluded in 40 days on Oct 16 after which the apex court reserved the verdict.
