Supreme Court Collegium recommends 11 names for Allahabad HC, 8 for Calcutta HC

The collegium has further approved the proposal for the elevation of 8 judicial officers as Judges of the Calcutta High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the proposal for elevation of 11 judicial officers as Judges of the Allahabad High Court. The Judicial officers recommended as Judges are:

  1. Shri Mohd. Aslam,
  2. Shri Anil Kumar Gupta,
  3. Shri Anil Kumar Ojha,
  4. Smt. Sadhna Rani (Thakur),
  5. Shri Om Prakash Tripathi,
  6. Shri Naveen Srivastava,
  7. Shri Umesh Chandra Sharma,
  8. Shri Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi,
  9. Shri Ajai Tyagi,
  10. Shri Syed Waiz Mian, and
  11. Shri Ajai Kumar Srivastava

The collegium has further approved the proposal for elevation of 8 judicial officers as Judges of the Calcutta High Court. The proposed names of Judicial officers are:

  1. Ms. Kesang Doma Bhutia,
  2. Shri Rabindranath Samanta,
  3. Shri Sugato Majumdar,
  4. Ms. Ananya Bandyopadhyay,
  5. Smt. Rai Chattopadhyay,
  6. Shri Bivas Pattanayak,
  7. Shri Subhendu Samanta, and
  8. Shri Ananda Kumar Mukherjee.

Further Advocate Narendra Kumar Vyas and Judicial Officer Natesh Kumar Chandravanshi have been approved by the Collegium for elevation as Judges of Chhattisgarh High Court.

The collegium has also approved the proposal of Advocate Aditya Sondhi and Judicial Officers Rajendra Badamikar, and Khazi Jayabunnisa Mohiuddin for elevation as Judges of the Karnataka High Court.
