The Supreme Court on Monday said it will decide on Aug 9 the issue of transfer of Unnao rape victim and her lawyer to AIIMS Delhi for better medical care.

The counsel for the petitioner informed the court that the victim’s family wants the victim to be transferred from Lucknow to AIIMS Delhi.

Upon the submissions, the court said that the doctors’ opinion should be sought whether the victim and her lawyer is fit to be transferred to Delhi.

The court was also informed that the uncle of the victim, Mahesh Singh has been transferred from Lucknow jail to Tihar jail.
