Delhi HC refuses urgent hearing to CBI’s plea challenging acquittal of A Raja, Kanimozhi in 2G case

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday refused early hearing to CBI’s plea challenging the acquittal of A Raja, Kanimozhi and others in the 2G Spectrum allocation case.

The plea is scheduled for hearing on Oct 24.

In the previous hearing, the court had issued notice to Kanimozhi and others to file a response on the plea.

Asking for the early hearing, the investigating agencies — CBI and Enforcement Directorate had argued before the court saying that the case was of national importance and has global ramifications.

Earlier, a special court had acquitted Raja, Kanimozhi and others in the case on Dec 21, 2017.
