Lokesh Sinhal, Senior Additional Advocate General, appeared  for the State of Haryana as well as the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) submitted that the aforesaid representations filed by the petitioner shall be considered and decided by the respondent authorities as early as possible.

The PIL in Punjab and Haryana High Court filed by one Kartar Singh further contended that the respondent authorities on the contrary have issued a notification dated 29.09.2020, which according to the petitioner is in violation of RTE Act provisions.

In the Baljit Kaur Boparai case the High Court had directed the Registrar of Marriages that it shall not refuse to register the marriage on the ground that the couple had solemnized their marriage when one of the spouses was less than 21 years of age.
