Senior Managing Editor Dilip Bobb believes that satire plays a crucial role in a democracy—there is no better way to speak truth to power than to cloak it in humour that is subtle, intelligent and biting. A veteran in the news business, he has combined serious writing with his popular satirical columns throughout his career. He started writing a regular satire column when he was with India Today called Flipside, and continued to do similar columns while with the Indian Express group.
