Congress leader Jagdish Tytler’s involvement in the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 have been chronicled for long. But he has also irked the legal community with his comments.

One such is advocate H S Phoolka, who represented the riot victims in court.

On Saturday (December 16) Phoolka recorded his statement before the Patiala house court in a case filed by him against Tytler for having made derogatory allegations against him and having threatened to kill on a TV programme.

The case has now been adjourned to January 6 for further recording of statement Phoolka and for further proceedings.

On the earlier occasion, Tytler had offered to give an unconditional apology in order to settle the matter once and for all. But Phoolka had refused to accept any such apology.
