In the Cauvery water dispute case, the Centre has filed an affidavit in the apex court demanding a clarification on the on the Cauvery Management Board (CMB) saying that Cauvery Scheme and CMB are two different things.
The Supreme Court had earlier given the Centre six-week time to frame a scheme to establish a CMB and a Cauvery water regulation committee to keep an eye on the distribution of the river water among Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Puducherry.
