With the Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) having summoned former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the Aircel-Maxis case, Chidambaram had applied for anticipatory bail at the CBI court of Delhi’s Patiala House Court.
On Wednesday (May 30) the court granted Chidambaram interim protection till June 5. The court said that no coercive action can be taken against the Congress leader til June 5.
The CBI has summoned Chidambaram on June 5.
