The Delhi High Court on Friday (March 9) directed Election Commission of India (ECI) to allot pressure cooker symbol and suitable name for MLA TTV Dhinakaran faction for upcoming civic polls in Tamil Nadu.

Dhinakaran had approached the Delhi High Court seeking permission to use a temporary name and party symbol for elections.

Dhinakaran had won the R K Nagar constituency Assembly by-polls last December by using the pressure cooker symbol.
