The Allahabad High Court on Friday (June 22) said that it will hear the plea seeking a stop on the destruction of ancient Kali Mandir/Shani Mandir at Jhusi, Kohna on the Allahabad-Varanasi national highway on July 4.

The order was given by the bench of Justices MC Tripathi and Neeraj Tiwari.

It is to be noted that the four-laning of Allahabad-Varanasi national highway is in process. The land acquisition for the four-laning has been completed in 1969. The administration has been carrying out a drive to remove illegal encroachments for the four-laning.
