The Supreme Court on Monday (January 22) refused to give relief to self-styled godman Asaram Bapu in the Gandhi Nagar rape case.

The Court observed that since the victim’s statement (due on January 29) is yet to be recorded in the lower court in Gujarat, it can’t consider bail petition of Asaram.

The Court listed the matter for next hearing after 8 weeks.
