The Patiala House Court on Monday (March 26) sent Peter Mukerjea to CBI custody till March 31 in INX Media bribery case in which Karti Chidambaram is allegedly involved.

On Monday, CBI said they needed five days of custody of Peter Mukerjea to confront with Karti Chidambaram in connection with INX Media bribery case.

CBI has alleged that Peter Mukerjea and his wife Indrani Mukerjea bribed Karti to facilitate a FIPB approval when Karti’s father was the Finance Minister.

Few days back, CBI had confronted Karti before Indrani in the Arthur Road jail, Mumbai regarding the same case where Indrani is lodged in the murder case involving her daughter.
