Underworld don Chhota Rajan and seven others were sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder case of Mid-Day crime reporter Jyotirmoy Dey by the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Wednesday (May 2).
The court acquitted Asian Age journalist Jigna Vora and Joseph Paulsen.
Dey was shot dead by a gang affiliated to Rajan. Dey had written several investigative reports on the Mumbai underworld.
