Justice Uma Nath Singh has been appointed Lokpal for Nagaland. He was judge of MP, Punjab and Haryana, as well as Allahabad High Courts. He was also chief justice of the Meghalaya High Court. Justice Singh is known for his firm decisions and impeccable integrity. He controlled the undergrounds in the Garo Hills.
