The Centre on Tuesday (May 15) informed the Supreme Court that it has appointed Ex Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi as the eminent jurist in the selection committee for appointment of the Lokpal.

The decision of the appointment was taken on May 11, Attorney General told the bench headed by Justice Ranjan Gogoi. The bench was hearing an contempt plea raising concern on the non-appointment of Lokpal despite the supreme court’s verdict last year.
