Acting chief justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Ramlingam Sudhakar and another judge of the same court Justice Mahammed Yaqoob Mir have been appointed as chief justices of the Meghalaya and the Manipur high courts.

Justice Sudhakar will take over as Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court while Justice Mir will take over as Meghalaya High Court.

Meanwhile, Justice Alok Aradhe, senior-most judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court after justices Sudhakar and Mir will take over as acting chief justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
