The apex court on Monday (June 4) issued notice to Rajasthan government and Rajasthan Waqf Board (RWB) on the plea challenging removal of former RWB Chairman Syed Abu Bakar Naqvi by the Rajasthan High Court.
The next hearing of the case will be held in the third week of July.
The Rajasthan High Court had removed Naqvi from the post of Chairman stating that Rajasthan government had violated certain provisions of Waqf Act 1995 while nominating Naqvi for the post of Chairman.
