A review petition has been filed in the apex court seeking removal of some of its comments which it made in the judge loya judgement. The petition which has been filed by Bombay Lawyers Association seeks that apex court should remove the comment in which it says the independence of the judiciary is being attacked.

The other comment which the petitioner wants to get removed is “efforts are being made to reduce the credibility of judicial institutions”.

The plea also says that the dismissal of the plea which sought independent probe into the death of special CBI judge BH Loya thwarts justice.
