The National Green Tribunal (NGT) dealing with the use of ponies, horses, mule, donkeys to carry pilgrims and goods from Katra to Vaishno Devi on Tuesday (December 5) was informed by the Additional Solicitor General (ASG) representing Amarnath Shrine Board that they will held the meeting on December 8 and the report shall be submitted thereafter.

The NGT bench headed by Justice Swantanter Kumar and comprising of Justices Jawad Rahim, Raghuvendra S Rathore and Bikram Singh Sajwan directed the counsel appearing on behalf of the Vaishno Devi shrine board to submit the latest rehabilitation scheme along with the status report with regard to compliance issued by the green panel.

The green regulator also directed to submit the submission of the minutes of the meeting on the next date of hearing.
NGT also directed the Jammu & Kashmir to comply with all the directions with regard to rehabilitation and other scheme except one direction which has been deferred by the Supreme Court.
