Four of the five hotels in Kasauli that had been slapped with demolition and fine orders by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), received interim stays of those orders from the Supreme Court on June 28. Neelgiri Hotel, however, could not manage to get any stay. Only notice was given. Notice was issued in the other cases as well.

The petitions were heard by the vacation bench of Justices Abhay Manohar Sapre and Sanjay Kishan Kaul.

All the petitions were directed to be tagged with the connected matter and directed to be listed on July 11.

The following were the hotels/petitioners involved: AAA Guest House; Neelgiri Hotel; Hotel Pine View; Mrs Anju Garg and Shivalik Guest House (also known as Hotel Shivalik).
