All Staff members of Supreme Court Justice M.R. Shah were found COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
Justice M.R. Shah during an online hearing informed that all his staff members are affected by the coronavirus. The Supreme Court, on April 13, had issued guidelines for entrants into the Court premises as a precautionary measure amid a sudden upsurge of Covid-19 cases and to contain the spread of infection.
Under the new Covid guidelines, all the entrants to the Supreme Court premises, including the Registry staff, staff of the coordinate agencies, advocates and their staff, if showing any symptoms of covid-19 needs to go through a Covid-19 test Immediately
During the hearing of a case a few days back, the same bench had said the safety of their staff is the topmost priority to them.
Another judge of the Supreme Court, Justice D.Y. Chandrachud said that they are protecting the staff well from the coronavirus virus. ”It’s our priority to save our staff, we have decided to hold the Court today, despite various constraints,” Justice DY Chandrachud said.
