The investigative network is closing in on the AAP government. The CBI is questioning Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in a corruption case, one that the agency had started in January.

The case is about a government-public interactive live streaming programme, called ‘Talk to AK’ which presumably spent Rs 1.5 crore despite an objection from the principal secretary. It is said that one private party benefitted, as per media reports, quoting sources.

The first such effort by the AAP dispensation was streamed live from the website www.talktoak.com and issues discussed included relations between the state government and the Centre.

Apart from allegations that questions and answers were “scripted” in which the CBI should have no interest in, the Vigilance Department complained that a consultant of the public relations company, Perfect Relations was hired to promote show and the money was spent despite objections from the principal secretary.

Sisodia was supposedly the pivot in the dealings, as per allegations.

Nineteen AAP legislators have so far been arrested in various cases.
