The Delhi High Court, which had ordered a CBI inquiry into illegal and polluting industrial units within a residential area of Delhi, asked the MCD on June 2 to provide to the CBI all information regarding who were posted as engineers, all particulars of officials who granted licenses to run commercial business in residential spaces and full information about the polluting industrial units for the last 10 years.

The court had taken suo motu cognizance of such illegal activity, after reading a newspaper report. A master plan was passed by the MCD which involved a lot of corruption.

The stringent orders are to be carried out within two weeks.
