Delhi High Court Set Up 4 Trial Courts To Hear Delhi Riots Matter

The Delhi High Court on Monday has constituted 4 new dedicated courts for hearing of Delhi Riots Cases. 

According to the orders issued by the Registrar General Delhi High Court on June 15, Nine Judicials Officers transferred to sessions and magisterial courts for North, North-East, Shahdara, South-East, Central and New Delhi districts of the Capital.

As per the order, Mr Purshotam Pathak, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM), Patiala House Court, New Delhi transferred to North-East Karkardooma. Mr Fahad Uddin, Metropolitan Magistrate MM-1, Central, THC transferred to MM-4, Shahdara, KKD. 

“The Courts of CMM, North East, KKD and MM-4, Shahdara, KKD are designated as the Courts for trial of recent communal violence/riot cases registered in North-East and Shahdara Districts respectively,” the Order reads. 

Whereas, Mr Vinod Yadav, Additional Session Judge, ASJ-3, North, Rohini transferred as ASJ-3, North-East, Karkardooma KKD. Mr Amitabh Rawat, ADJ-4, South-East, Saket transferred as ASJ-3, Shahdara, KKD. 

“The Courts of ASJ-3, North-East, KKD and ASJ-3, Shahdara, KKD are designated as Courts for trial of recent communal violence/riots cases registered in Delhi in North-East and Shahdara districts respectively,” the order reads.
