Islamabad High Court may declare Nawaz Sharif a proclaimed offender on Dec 2

New Delhi (ILNS): It is possible that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) may declare former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif a proclaimed offender on December 2, when the hearing of the appeals in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia cases against Sharif resume.

The bench of Justices Aamir Farooq and Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani did not confirm this, but a request was placed to the effect before the bench by NAB Prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi. Abbasi requested the bench to record statements of officials who forwarded and posted summons of the PML-N leader to declare him a proclaimed offender, says a report in Daily Times.

The Foreign Office official told the bench that the PML-N supremo did not show up before the court deliberately. An execution report of his warrants through advertisements in print as well as electronic media was also submitted to the bench.
