Legal counsels can move in Delhi with bar IDs

The lawyers and others mentioned will have to carry their bar IDs and show them when asked for.

The seven-day lockdown in Delhi will not be applicable to movement by advocates and legal counsels connected with the case hearings at the Supreme Court, the Delhi High Court and even the district courts. There will be no restriction on them, says a notification of April 19, issued by Rajashi Goyal, Additional CEO of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Government of NCT of Delhi.

The lawyers and others mentioned will have to carry their bar IDs and show them when asked for.

The city was placed under total curfew/lockdown by the Aam Aadmi Party’s state government till April 26, in view of the exploding number of Coronavirus cases in the state.
