Much-awaited Police Complaints Authority starts functioning in national capital

The much-awaited Police Complaints Authority (PCA) has started functioning in the national capital, a press release by Delhi government said.

The press release (see below) said that it will operate from the address 2nd Floor, M-Block, Vikas Bhawan, IP Estate, New Delhi-110110.

The Delhi government said that PCA have started working under the chairmanship of Justice P S Teji (retd) followed by Nutan Guha Biswas, IAS (retd), P Kamraj, IPS (retd) and Tinu Bajwa, Advocate as members.

“The public at large may file the complaint directly on the address… or through e-mail at pca.delhi@nic.in/on website pca.delhigovt.nic.in,” the press release said.

It is pertinent to note that PCA was constituted by the Lt Governor Anil Baijal to examine into grievances and accusations against Delhi Police personnel on matters of custodial death, custodial rape, blackmailing or any serious abuse of power.

  1. Mostly, I watch the Delhi city and enjoy it, and I will encounter the kind people. The only thing that suffers me is that a large number of professional thieves also travel to these breaks and cause distress for the people. It will be clear to you that these small crimes will lead to larger crimes and will undermine the calm of the people and the city. These thieves are often seen on the Bagel trails to the old town of Delhi and the city of Husayn. Which would lessen the confidence of foreigners in returning to India, and people are also weak with these thieves without trusting the police.
