Mumbai (ILNS): Mumbai Police arrests lawyer for spreading conspiracy theories in Sushant Singh Rajput, Disha Salian death cases.
The FIR was registered after Anand allegedly posted three YouTube videos in which he was making defamatory statements and allegations against Cabinet Minister Aditya Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
Anand has been accused for offences under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
It has also been alleged that Anand was spreading fake conspiracy theories about the death of Rajput and Salian and also linking Aditya Thackeray with the case.
Anand was arrested from his Delhi residence and has been sent to police custody till October 19.
Mumbai police is investigating alleged cases of misinformation against it by various fake social media accounts which are spreading hate mongering.
