The complex issues around the Aadhaar matter and the PILs pending before the Supreme Court were mentioned before the court by senior advocate Shyam Divan for petitioner and Attorney General KK Venugopal on Wednesday (July 12).
The Bench asked: “How much time will you take?”
Venugopal said: “The last time the petitioner took five days.”
To that the bench replied: “If that is amount of time, we are not going to fix any date.”
Divan, appearing for the petitioners, said he will take just one day.
The matter was fixed for next Tuesday and Wednesday (July 18 and 19).
