Personal attacks have been made against two judges of the Supreme Court for their strong remarks against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma leading to a dangerous scenario where judges will now have to consider what the media thinks instead of what the law really demands

Senior Advocate Aman Lekhi on Friday resigned from the post of the Additional Solicitor General of India. In a letter addressed to Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju on Friday, Lekhi said he was tendering his resignation from the post of ASG of India at the Supreme Court with immediate effect.

Delhi HC directed Centre and Delhi Government to submit written submissions on the issue of whether Lt. Governor could have appointed SG, ASG and Centre's counsels to represent Delhi Police in matter concerning cancellation of bail, without consulting the Council of Ministers.
