Andhra Pradesh has filed a petition before the Supreme Court to stop the illegal usage of water. Earlier, the AP government requested Telangana to stop the same but it was not complied with.

A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court issued a notice on an appeal filed by Odissa state challenging the National Green Tribunal order on the Polavaram project while tagging similar matters along with it and refused to grant any stay on the proceedings.
