As the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal rakes in crores at the box office, questions are being raised about the unbridled violence and misogyny. Has cinematic license become an excuse for wayward filmmaking? How have the courts reacted to such cinematic excess?

The Bombay High Court has said that it would be the responsibility of the owner of a vehicle from which animals were seized under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, to pay the cost of transport, treatment and care of animals till the trial is concluded

The petition states that “Glanders is a zoonotic disease and is transmitted from animal to humans and in case if preventive measures are not taken at once then even the human beings may get infected which may be fatal for the humans.”
