A single Bench of Delhi High Court passed this order to deny anticipatory bail to the owner of a hotel where a 16-year old minor girl was allegedly kept and raped for four days while hearing a Bail Application filed by Ajay Kumar.
The Supreme Court has held that “merely because an arrest can be made because it is lawful does not mandate that arrest must be made,” while stating section 170 CrPC does not impose an obligation on the Officer-in-charge to arrest each and every accused at the time of filing of the chargesheet.
On a Media One TV debate, Aisha Sultana had said the Centre was trying a biological weapon against the people of Lakshadweep by changing laws. Police booked her for sedition for this comment. Now, she has got anticipatory bail from the Kerala High Court.
