New Delhi (ILNS): Bihar will have a new political dispensation installed by November 10. The elections started today and will finish on November 7. The results will be declared on November 10. Win or lose, a day before that, the RJD will be celebrating another incident.

A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court by the president of the Plurals Party seeking direction to the Election Commission of India to allow the members of the Plurals Party to file nomination and contest the first phase of Bihar Assembly Election, 2020.

The Bankipur assembly constituency of Patna Sahib, Bihar, goes to the polls in the second phase of elections to be held on November 3. And the Congress is likely to field Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv as its candidate.

Former Bihar CM & Rashtria Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav was today granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court in the Chaibasa treasury case related to the fodder scam. He, however, will remain in jail, because he is has yet to get bail in another case against him, the Dumka treasury case.

In a press conference held in Delhi today, Chief Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced that the Bihar elections will be held in three phases and will commence on the October 28. The other dates are November 3 and November 7. The results will be announced on November 10.

Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey late last evening took voluntary retirement after 33 years in service. Speculation is rife that the officer will contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly election from Buxar constituency as an NDA candidate.

The Rashtravadi Janata Party (RJP) has approached the Supreme Court seeking postponement of the Bihar assembly elections scheduled to be held in the month of October- November this year, in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition seeking directions to refrain from holding the upcoming elections in Bihar till the state is declared COVID-19 and flood-free.
