The Delhi High Court today dismissed a plea challenging the Central Government’s order allowing the telecast of Sudarsha TV’s programme ‘Bindas Bol’, stating that the Supreme Court is already looking into the matter.

The Supreme Court today observed that there has to be a balance between speech and dignity. The top court was hearing a plea against television channel Sudarshan News, pertaining to its programme titled ‘UPSC Jihad’ which runs into several episodes.

The Supreme Court today observed that a message needs to go out to the media that a particular community cannot be targeted and there is a need to look ahead to a nation of the future which is cohesive and diverse.

The Supreme Court today put off till tomorrow a hearing on a plea against television channel Sudarshan News. This plea pertains to the channel’s programme and alleges that it contains statements in a show called "UPSC Jihad" about how Muslims have "infiltrated" the Indian civil services.

The Supreme Court today made some strong observations while restricting news channel Sudarshan TV from telecasting the remaining episodes of its show 'Bindas Bol' that talks about Muslims who get through the UPSC exam until further orders.
