The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a petition that challenged the Madhya Pradesh High Court order, which permitted the state government to hold board examinations for classes five and eight in government as well as government-affiliated private and aided schools

The court further noted that every government has its own budgetary provisions and waiving off the fees would cause a grave burden on the government

The Supreme Court has on Sunday dismissed a plea challenging order of High Court of Rajasthan where it upheld the decision of board examinations being conducted for class X in the state.
