Before joining the Supreme Court, Justice Ramana was the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and the acting Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has unanimously decided to write a letter to the Chief Justice of India, requesting him to hear them against the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Apex Court for hybrid physical hearing without any consultation with the Bar.

The Court has constituted a panel to speed up disposal of cheque bounce cases. It said the centre would allocate space for its functioning and give allowances. The panel has to submit its report within three months.
